Who here uses their laptop layout for their respective screen reader? So far, I much prefer using an USB keypad.

I use the laptop layout for both my laptop and desktop keyboards, and use JFW. I find it easier, cause I don't have to move my hand back and forth to the number pad.

I prefer the desktop layout because I'm used to using that kind of keyboard with the numpad. On my old laptop, I used to plug an extra keyboard in, but on this one, there is already a numpad built in.

I prefer a desktop layout also.

I prefer a laptop layout, and not only because I'm using a laptop. I like being able to keep my hands on the home row as much as possible. The screen reader here is NVDA; I just have to plugb it.

I use a standard keyboard plugged into my laptop. If I knew the commands for using JAWS with a laptop layout I might give it a try, but I never learned how to do this.

If I use desktop, I use the desktop keyboard layout for JAWS, if I use the laptop, same applies, I use laptop layout for JAWS.

I use a laptop layout for laptops and desktops because I don't feel like remembering 2 different commands, and i'm used to it.

It has been ages since I've used jaws... The laptop layout use to use the capslock key, right? Is it still like that?

I need to replace my USB keypad.

Hmmm, well, I don't say this too often, but I'm actually disappointed in window eyes laptop layout. A couple of mouse functions, I could not get to work; not sure if that was me. I also noticed some of the layout takes over other keyboard shortcuts, like using alt with the home, del, page up and down keys.

It turns out I route my mouse over to the window farely often, which is why I need the USB keypad.
